Your journey to healing starts here.

There’s a reason you found this website: your relationship feels uncomfortable and you’re looking for answers. And for healing.

Whatever you call what’s happening, you probably identify with feeling disrespected, criticized, silenced, or hurt. You may feel like it doesn’t matter what you want, that you aren’t good enough as you are, and your rights or opinions aren’t valid or respected.

If you’ve endured what I’ll call an abuse of power in your relationship, you’ve come to the right place. Here, you’ll find resources that help you reflect on your experience and replace any falsehoods you've come to accept with your truth.

If you feel confused or embarrassed by your situation, please know that you're not to blame. You are not responsible for their choices. Also, this could happen to anyone - regardless of gender, race, or who you love. You did not choose to be treated this way, and more importantly:

You didn't know what you didn’t know.

This is a place to begin learning what you didn’t know. Above all, a place to begin your healing journey

If you’re a therapist looking for resources to assist your clients, click on Therapist Resources for therapy handouts and workshops that will meet your needs.

“The validation that I received in sharing my story and feelings of an abusive/controlling relationship has helped me to open up about things I’ve kept inside of me for many years. I am now beginning to realize that I really am a person worthy of love and respect, and it’s amazing how empowering that belief can be!”

Find Your Voice offers resources designed to empower you.
